This article covers the four remaining tabs of proposal creation - Terms, Presentation, Payments and Apps. These areas are more concise it's easier to combine them here and breeze through them.

Terms

Here you can select:

Which Engagement letter template (covered here) you wish to use for the proposal,

Whether you wish the client to see the proposal end date & total value via the Display Proposal Value setting (Best practice: Hide) and also

The Fiscal Period End which the proposal relates to.

Please note: This date is only utilised if your engagement letter template contains the {{ proposal.fiscal_period_end }} placeholder.

Presentation

Here's where you control the presentation of the proposal which your client will see.

Send Communications From is who the email will show up as coming from. The default will be the business email on your PI account.

Email a Copy allows you to send the proposal to multiple people. Please note that only one person can sign a proposal and anyone who received a copy will be able to sign it.

Email Template lets you choose between the different email templates we use to send the proposal to your client.

This is only available on Professional or Scale plans.

Attached Brochure button allows you to attach a PDF brochure to your proposal, putting your best foot forwards and adding more branding & context to your proposals.

If you are on a Professional or Scale plan, the default brochure in your Branding tab will automatically be uploaded here.

Introduction Video (and the Next Steps Video) will allow you to attach a video from Loom, YouTube or Vimeo directly to the proposal to provide a personalised experience and perhaps client onboarding details and further instructions.

This is only available on Professional or Scale plans.

The Personalised Message will appear in both the proposal itself at the beginning of the proposal, as well as being something that you can insert into your email templates with the placeholder {{ proposal.message_text }}

Show Service Prices controls if you'd like the proposal to show the price breakdown per service or to package the prices together.

Best practice: We suggest leaving this disabled as it makes the proposal much simpler and to help avoid haggling/conversations around specific service inclusions.

Payments

Here you can control how your clients can pay, and whether you want to make it a requirement to do so.

We'd strongly suggest using Require Payment as this ensures that there's no need for any chasing of payments and you'll remain debtor free!

Apps

The Apps tab allows you to manage the interactions between PI & your integrated tools. Typically this won't be something you'll want to adjust.

Once you're done, then your proposal is ready to go!

Hit Create Proposal to create the proposal as a draft proposal in your account.

Brilliant - now you've created your first proposal! Time to review it and send it out to be signed.
