Generally, if you want to change an active proposal status from Active → Complete, you will need to do so manually by clicking the Actions button and selecting "Complete".
However there are some instances where a proposal will be automatically marked as Complete.
Practice Ignition will automatically mark a proposal as complete if:
Continuous Recurring Billing has been turned OFF on the proposal
All the services on the proposal have been invoiced and there are no remaining items to bill
The end date has passed (only applies if a proposal has recurring services)
